1. About Draft Duel

Draft Duel is a free, browser-based basketball drafting and simulation game operated by R. D. Walker (“we”, “us”). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

2. Independent game

Draft Duel is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the NBA, its teams or its players. Team and player names are used only to identify them.

Player ratings, simulated results and statistics in Draft Duel are produced by the game for entertainment. They are not official, are not predictions, and do not describe how any real person or team would perform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Draft Duel. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent's or guardian's permission.

4. Guest sessions

Draft Duel has no user accounts. When you play, your browser keeps a guest session. You are responsible for what happens under your session and the coach name you choose. Anyone who has your room link can ask to join the room while a seat is free, so only share it with people you want to play.

5. Acceptable use and fair play

You agree not to:

• choose a coach name that is offensive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that impersonates someone else;
• cheat, exploit bugs, or tamper with the game, its traffic or other players’ sessions;
• use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to play, create rooms, or send requests to the service, or to overload or disrupt it;
• try to access parts of the service, data or systems that are not meant for you, or to get around rate limits or security measures;
• use Draft Duel for anything unlawful.

Please report bugs or security issues to us instead of exploiting them.

6. Coach names

Coach names are the only content players add. They are shown to your opponent and stored with match records. Keep them respectful; we may remove or replace names that break these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Draft Duel name, logo, design, software, text and game mechanics belong to us or our licensors. You may use the game for personal, non-commercial play. You may not copy, sell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the service or its data except as the law allows. Names of teams and players belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify them.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, pause or discontinue any part of Draft Duel — including rules, ratings and features — at any time. The game is provided on an “as available” basis; matches can be interrupted by connection problems or maintenance, and rooms close automatically after a period of inactivity.

9. Restricting access

We may limit, suspend or block access to Draft Duel, or end a match, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or to protect the service and other players.

10. Disclaimers

Draft Duel is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or goodwill, arising from your use of Draft Duel. Because the game is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the greatest extent the law allows. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above; continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
